THE EXPERIENCE

Dating should feel
like possibility.

AshtaSetu is being designed around the moments that actually matter: finding someone interesting, learning what makes them tick, and feeling comfortable enough to say hello.

A LOOK INSIDE

Explore the
feeling.

These are screens from the AshtaSetu app in testing. Every person shown is a synthetic test profile, not a real member.

NEW IN THE APP

Built in,
not bolted on.

A Discover card for a synthetic test profile, with a line saying you both like Books, Music and Travel

See why you might click.

Discover puts people who share your interests and goals first, and says what you have in common. It never ranks anyone by popularity.

Setup step four of nine: who would you like to meet, with Everyone, Women, Men and Non-binary people

Meet who you’re looking for.

Say how you identify and who you’d like to meet. Two people only see each other when each fits the other’s choice, and your choice is never shown to anyone.

The Your data page listing a test account’s email, age check, profile, gender and show me setting

Your data, yours to take.

Download a copy of everything AshtaSetu keeps about you, from Settings. It holds your own messages, never anyone else’s.

A voice call with a test profile named Priya, showing the call time and Mute, Phone and End buttons, with the words Private call, not recorded

Call when you’re both ready.

Voice and video calls unlock only when both of you turn on “Open to a call” for that match. Calls are never recorded, and you can report or block without leaving the call.

A chat where a test profile asks for gift cards, followed by a warning: asked for money? Never send money, gift cards or crypto to someone you haven’t met, with a Report button

A heads-up when it matters.

If a match asks for money or gift cards, pushes you to another app or sends a link, you get a quiet warning and a Report button. Only you see it, and nothing is blocked for you.

The Distance settings: people only see a band, your exact location never leaves your phone, and private places where your distance is hidden

Distance, not your location.

Distance is optional. Your phone rounds its location to about 2 km before sending it, others only ever see a band like “5–10 km away”, and near places you mark private your distance is hidden.

Screens from the app on an Android phone in testing. The people shown are labelled test profiles. Calls were tested between that phone and a test browser, not yet between two phones.

YOUR SPACE, YOUR RULES

Feel good about
being here.

Good connections need room to grow—and clear boundaries. AshtaSetu is building safety tools into the experience, not adding them as an afterthought.

  • 01 Block and report are always free, and blocking ends contact at once, calls included.
  • 02 Every photo is checked by a person before anyone else sees it.
  • 03 Photos in a chat arrive only if you allow them from that person, and stay blurred until you tap.
  • 04 Calls need a yes from both people and are never recorded.
  • 05 Reports reach a moderator; a suspended member can appeal to a different one.

GOOD TO KNOW

Some straight
answers.

Can I sign up today?

Not yet. AshtaSetu is in development. The screens here come from the app in testing, with synthetic sample profiles; there is no public dating service or waitlist on this site.

Are the people shown real members?

No. Every profile shown on this website is a synthetic test profile. We do not use fake profiles or engagement in a live service.

Will messaging and safety tools cost extra?

No. Matching, messaging, blocking, reporting, and core safety controls are intended to remain free.

How do calls work?

Inside a chat, each of you can turn on “Open to a call”. Only when both have can either of you start a voice or video call. The camera and microphone are asked for when a call starts, calls are never recorded, and blocking ends a call at once.

Does AshtaSetu know where I am?

Only if you turn distance on. Your phone then sends an area about 2 km across, never your exact spot, and other people see only a band such as “10–25 km away”. You can mark private places, like home, where your distance is hidden; those are kept only on your phone.

Who sees my photos?

Profile photos are checked by a person before anyone else sees them, and their location data is removed. Photos in a chat need the other person to allow photos from you, are checked the same way, and arrive blurred until they tap.

Can I delete my account?

Yes, from Settings. Your account is removed after a 7-day grace period in case you change your mind, and you can download a copy of your data first. More about your data →

Is AshtaSetu available on iPhone?

Not publicly yet. AshtaSetu now builds and completes its critical offline and connected-account flows in Apple’s iPhone Simulator, and native notification registration is wired. Physical-iPhone notification and call checks, Apple signing and TestFlight still remain; this is not an App Store availability claim.
