AshtaSetu on your phone.
Almost there.
AshtaSetu is an 18+ dating app in development. The Android app is in testing, with synthetic test profiles; downloads open once the app is finished. The iPhone app now builds and completes its critical flows in Apple’s Simulator, including the software path for notifications; public testing still waits for Apple signing, a physical-device check and TestFlight. Below are the steps for each phone and a short recording of the real app being installed.
Android
In testingNeeds Android 7.0 or later on a 64-bit phone (almost every phone from 2017 on). 80 MB.
- Open this page on your Android phone and tap the Android button. Your browser saves the AshtaSetu app file.
- Open the file. Android asks before it installs an app that does not come from an app store. If it does, allow your browser: Settings › Apps › Special app access › Install unknown apps, choose your browser, and turn on Allow. The names differ a little between phones.
- Tap Install, then Open.
- Confirm you are 18 or older and agree to the community guidelines.
- Create your profile: your name, your age, who you would like to meet, what you are looking for and a few interests. Photos, habits and prompts can wait.
Once AshtaSetu is installed, you can turn Install unknown apps off again for your browser. Only install AshtaSetu from this page.
iPhone
Simulator testedNeeds iOS 15 or later.
- Install TestFlight, Apple’s free app for trying apps before they launch, from the App Store on your iPhone.
- Open your AshtaSetu invitation on the iPhone. TestFlight opens it.
- Tap Accept, then Install.
- Open AshtaSetu, confirm you are 18 or older and agree to the community guidelines.
- Create your profile, the same way as on Android.
Before launch, Apple allows iPhone apps to be shared only through TestFlight invitations. TestFlight keeps the test version up to date.

Questions
What is in the Android prototype?
The whole AshtaSetu experience with synthetic test profiles: onboarding, Discover, matches, chat with suggested openers, safety tools and settings. It works without an account, stores your answers only on your phone and sends nothing anywhere. Signing in, real members and calls come later, after age checks, moderation and an independent security review are in place.
Why is the iPhone version not available yet?
The app now builds and its critical offline and connected-account flows pass in Apple’s iPhone Simulator. Native notification registration is also wired. It still needs Apple signing, notification delivery and call testing on a physical iPhone, followed by TestFlight setup. When those checks pass, the iPhone button on this page switches on.
Is it a real dating service?
Not yet. AshtaSetu is not a live dating service, and the profiles in the prototype and the recording are synthetic test profiles.
How do I remove it?
On Android, touch and hold the AshtaSetu icon and choose Uninstall. On iPhone, touch and hold the icon and choose Remove App. Deleting your account is separate: it is in the app under Settings.
